Mevaco: From ‘Made in Greece’ solar panels to Naval frigates and the Ellinikon mall

Spyros Delendas has seen the company's annual profitability exceeding 5 million euros (2024), recording a steady increase throughout the last few years

The metal products and construction company Mevaco is experiencing a period of exceptional performance, with its CEO Spyros Delendas seeing the listed company achieve multi-year highs in terms of both stock market presence and financial performance.

The decision of the experienced CEO to penetrate the photovoltaic sector was proven correct, as it now constitutes a very strong asset of the company.

The “made in GR” PVs travel to various corners of the globe, from the United Kingdom to Latin America, constituting the main export product of Mevaco, which uses a total of 14 production lines in its privately owned facilities in Aspropyrgos. Moreover, the largest part of its turnover comes exclusively from the construction of PVs.

The defense sector also plays an important role in Spyros Delendas’ business model, as in recent years the CEO has signed important agreements with companies such as Intracom Defence and the French Naval, which is handling the contract for the BELHARRA frigates.

The company has also participated in the ambitious project of The Ellinikon, as it has undertaken the contract for the “Riviera Galleria” roof.

Spyros Delendas has seen the company’s annual profitability exceeding 5 million euros (2024), recording a steady increase throughout the last few years (3.1 million euros in 2022 and 2023 / 1.9 million euros in 2021 / -0.5 million euros in 2020).

Turnover has also increased to 37 million euros in 2021 from 32 million euros in 2020.
