NTT Data: Japan’s vote of confidence in the Greek market

Innovation is the key to development and cooperation with an innovation-oriented country like Japan will be mutually beneficial to both sides

The Japanese information technology NTT Data’s office in Greece is a vote of confidence, Deputy Development Minister Maximos Senetakis said during the inauguration ceremony organized by the Japanese Embassy.

In detail, the Deputy Minister stated: “A vote of confidence by the Japanese Colossus NTT Data in the Greek market. The presence of the Japanese IT company NTT Data in Greece with its new branch is another vote of confidence in the Greek economy. NTT Data’s investment in Greece is of symbolic importance as it contributes to further strengthening the bilateral relations between Greece and Japan, setting an example for more Japanese companies to trust and invest in Greece.

According to NTT Data’s site related to Greece, the Japanese company expects to hire several Greeks. “NTT DATA commits to Greek IT talent and the boost of digitalization with a new office in Athens, aiming to recruit 400 people,” it said, adding that “NTT DATA believes Greece is a source of real added value to its business, while further demonstrating its commitment to young talent worldwide. The company aims to seek out great young talent, to invest in their training and development, to bring them into large-scale strategic projects, while also partnering on original research with major universities.”
