Greek armed forces’ real estate assets assessed at 33 billion euros

Fixed assets belonging to Greece’s armed forces are valued at 33 billion euros, with 25 percent available for “immediate exploitation”, according to the head of a specially created subsidiary to exploit the property.

The directorate’s head, Giorgos Zisimatos, was quoted in an article over the weekend as saying that the process to exploit the assets “will include evaluation, categorization and targeted promotion through partnerships”, while citing a procedure based on “e-Bids and the platform e-publicrealestate.gr

The official name of the entity is the Directorate for the Armed Forces’ Real Estate Development.
