The President of the Hellenic Shipyards Association and Head of ONEX Shipyards and Technologies, Panos Xenokostas, spoke to “Naftemporiki” on the role of the Elefsis and Syros Shipyards.
On the sidelines of the international shipping exhibition Poseidon 2026, Xenokostas stated: “We are committed to our vision, which is not only about the revival of the shipyards, but also about how and in what manner they will be positioned on the shipbuilding map as a southern pillar of Europe.”
Referring to the agreements signed by ONEX over the past 24 hours, Xenokostas emphasized that “we are laying the foundations to build the necessary infrastructure so that the Greek shipbuilding industry moves onto its next phase.”
