The Athens-based Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE) on Monday announced a noteworthy decrease in Greece’s economic sentiment index for September 2018, dropping to 101.3 points from 105.3 points in July 2018.
According to IOBE, the result is primarily due to a worsening of expectations in the industrial and construction sector, whereas consumer confidence is measured as rising. Lower economic sentiment is also recorded throughout Europe, but at a lower rate.
The result in Greece is the first in the post-bailout period.
