Mitsotakis on Moria, Tsipras govt: It’s immoral to receive 1.6 bln€ in order to build world’s worst refugee camp

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday pounced on reports that the European anti-fraud office (OLAF) was investigating reports of misuse of EU funds allocated for refugee-linked humanitarian efforts in Greece.

“The despicable reality at the Moria (camp) has been revealed around the world, and the government is now the focus of OLAF,” the center-right political leader said, adding that “whoever is involved in this matter is now called up to answer how 1.6 billion euros in EU money was managed.”

“It’s immoral to receive 1.6 billion and build the worst (migrant/refugee) camp in the world,” he added.
