Light quake off extreme SW Greece

A light earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at 09.56 a.m. (07.56 GMT) in a sea region off the extreme southwestern harbor town of Pylos, a particularly quake-prone region.

The tremor’s epicenter was located some 34 kilometers west, southwest of Pylos, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.
