DNV GL and Prisma Electronics signed a partnership agreement on fleet performance management this week on the sidelines of the biennial Posidonia maritime exhibition at the port of Piraeus.
The agreement anticipates the use of Prisma’s wireless onboard data collection platform (LAROS) for vessel performance management to feed into DNV GL’s ECO Insight portal, generating onboard data collected by the system.
DNV GL and Prisma Electronics have previously announced a partnership on customer contracts over the last six months.
According to Prisma, its LAROS platform is an innovative patented platform that enables remote monitoring and analysis of vessels’ operational parameters.
On its part, DNV GL calls its performance management portal ECO Insight a comprehensive and easily accessible way to manage the performance of a fleet, including voyage, hull & propeller and engine and systems performance.
