United Airlines commence flights from Athens to the New York City area this week, connecting Newark Liberty International Airport with the Greek capital.
The Athens-Newark-Athens route began on Thursday and will continue daily until Oct. 6.
Flight UA125 will depart Athens at 12.55 p.m. (10.55 GMT) and reach NYC/Newark at 4:15 p.m. (21.15 GMT) the same day. The Newark-Athens route, UA124, will depart the United States daily at 5:50 p.m. (22.50 GMT) and land in Athens at 10.30 a.m. (08.30 GMT) the next day. The flights will be serviced with Boeing 767-300 passenger jets.
