GfK: Economic climate in Greece plummets in Q1 2016 due to refugee crisis; political uncertainty

The economic climate in Greece drastically fell in the first quarter of 2016 due to the refugee crisis and political uncertainty, results of a survey by GfK revealed on Wednesday.

The economic outlook fell to -50.6 points, its lowest point since April 2012, while the income expectations index fell to -45 points, its lowest point since September 2013.

The consumer climate index in the EU fell by 3.1 points to 9.
